Tulsa Resident Accused of Cheating Local Casino

A resident of Tulsa stands accused of being involved with a former blackjack dealer, who had pleaded guilty to embezzling funds from the Tulsa casino where she worked.

A federal grand jury has accused 33-year-old Jimmy Nam Quoc Le of stealing money from the Osage Casino in Tulsa during the months of January and February, 2013. The Tulsa federal court has posted the indictment on its website on Thursday.

According to Shannon Cozzoni, the assistant US attorney, Jimmy would receive assistance from Misty Lynn White, who used to deal at the blackjack tables in the Tulsa casino.

The court had sentenced 28-year-old Misty White to five years probation and had ruled that she should be held partly responsible for compensating the casino with $59,936.50. White had pleaded guilty on September 11 to the charges against her.

She had admitted that she had helped one of the casino’s players, who had not been named in the indictment against her, to beat the house and win by stealthily revealing her face-down cards. This gave the man an unfair advantage over the house.

According to Julia O’Connell, federal public defender, the man used to pay White for helping him win at the blackjack tables.
